Trek O King: Trip to Leh-Ladhak




Ladakh, the Persian transliteration of the Tibetan La-dvags, is warranted by the pronunciation of the word in several Tibetan districts.

Ladakh (land of high passes) is a region of India in the state of Jammu and Kashmir that lies between the Kunlun mountain range in the north and the main GreatHimalayas to the south, inhabited by people of Indo-Aryan and Tibetan descent. It is one of the most sparsely populated regions in Jammu and Kashmir.

Itinerary:

Day 1: Mumbai – Jammu
Depart from Mumbai to Jammu by Swaraj Express (AC 3-tire).

Day 2: Jammu – Srinagar
Proceed to Srinagar by Bus. Transfer to Hotel. Dal Lake Sightseeing by Shikara. Night stay at Srinagar.

Day 3: Srinagar – Kargil
Proceed to Kargil via Zojila Pass, Drass, visit Vijay Smarak (war memorial of Drass-Kargil). Night Stay at Kargil.

Day 4: Kargil – Leh
Proceed to Leh via Mulbekh, Fotula Pass, Namikla Pass, Lamayuru, Moonland, Sangam of Sindhu and Zanskar rivers, Magnetic Hill, Pattharsahib Gurudwara. Night Stay at Leh.

Day 5: Sightseeing at Leh
Post breakfast visit the Sindhu Ghat, Thiksey and Hemis, Shey Palace, Hall of Fame and Shanti Stupa in the evening. Night Stay at Leh.

Day 6: Leh – Nubra valley
After breakfast depart to Nubra Valley via Khardungla Pass (World’s Highest Motorable Road, 18360 ft), transfer to Hotel. Post lunch visit the Open Air Idol of Buddha and proceed to the famous Desert of Ladakh in Hunder and enjoy ride on double hump Camels (If time permits). Night Stay at Nubra Valley.

Day 7: Nubra valley – Leh
Post breakfast move to Leh via Khardungla Pass. Evening session free for Shopping. Night Stay at Leh.

Day 8: Leh – Pangong – Leh
Early morning departure to Pangong Lake (14500 ft, Salt water lake) via Karu, Changla Pass (3rd Highest Pass of the world, 17800 ft) & back to Leh. Night Stay at Leh.

Day 9: Leh – Keylong
Early Morning depart to Sarchu via Tanglangla Pass, More Plane, Pang, Lachungla Pass, Nakila Pass, Sarchu, Bharatpur, Barlachla Pass, Darcha. Night Stay at Keylong.

Day 10: Keylong – Manali
Departure to Manali via Khoksar, Rohtang Pass, transfer to hotel. Night Stay at Manali.

Day 11: Manali – Delhi
Half day sightseeing of Manali and departure to Delhi by bus at 4.00 pm (Overnight Journey)

Day 12: Delhi – Mumbai
Early morning arrival at Delhi and departure for Mumbai.

Day 13: Delhi – Mumbai
Reach Mumbai in morning
